Teacher's Duathlon

On Friday 25th May 2012. A month after winning the Welling School Fun Run (read all about it here http://wellingincambodia.blogspot.co.uk/) and still buzzing off the adrenaline, Mr San completed the Teacher's Duathlon - run 15miles into school and taught 5 outstanding lessons.

He made it in on time and chose the Bonus Ball winner, after completing the first half of his duathlon (the run) in 2hrs12mins. He left his house in West London at 5:45am... Having never run more than 13.1 miles, Mr San was absolutely shatter saying "that was stupid! Why did I do that?!?" as he collapse on some chairs in briefing.

His route from West Kensington to Welling took him a tour of South East London's finest. He ran past the MI5 building onto the Oval before taking the lovely sights of Camberwell and Peckam, reaching New Cross and onto the first of two hills - Blackheath Hill. This had no descent after it so Mr Sabn had very little opportunity to recover. He ahd to navigate a large roundabout after been overtaken by Miss Green (3rd place finisher at the fun run) on her bike before embarking onto Shooters Hill which went on forever! As he entered Welling high street, he ran past fellow Cambodia team member Luke Shelly and saw pupil Alby Hurrell-Cook at the bottom of Upper Wickham Lane. Alby ran with Mr San, taking him to the finish line where he was greeting by a bg cheer! As he entered reception, he recieved a chocolate gold medal from the Learning Zone!

His 5 lessons were varified by Mrs Brady (Marnie Wilson told her the lesson was oustanding), therefore completing his challenge!

All this was in aid of the Cambodia expedition. Please give generously!

(Note: Mrs Brady tok a sample of 1 class which was judged outstanding by a pupil. Extrapolating, all 5 lessons must have been outstanding within a 95% confidence interval...)
